Power networks introduction course
This introductory course explains the basics of electric power transmission and distribution. The layout and operation of the power grid will be discussed. Grid structures and grid components are addressed in more detail
Description:
In the context of your work, have you ever asked yourself the following questions?
>
What, exactly, is the difference between current, voltage,
power and energy?
>
How does the power network work?
>
What are power flow, frequency control, etc.?
>
What is reactive power?
>
What is power quality?
>
What effect do distributed renewable energy resources have
on voltage control?
>
What is coincident load?
If you have, this course is the ideal way to improve your knowledge of power networks. The course provides basic knowledge about electricity and delves more deeply into the operation of the power grid.
On June 5, 2012 an open enrollment course will be given in the Dutch language and is scheduled again on September 26, 2012. More information can be found on our
Dutch website
.
This course is also available upon request in English or Dutch (course content, location and duration can be adapted to your specific wishes). Please
