Training course on Condition & remaining lifetime assessment

This three-day course gives you an insight into modern assessment methods and techniques

Description:

Assess present condition, determine future health.

Substation equipment, such as transformers, reactors, circuit breakers and cables, represent a major capital investment in power stations and grids. With a high-duty cycle, or repeated short duration overloading, such components are subject to increased aging and wear. However, in practice, many components perform well even after their economic lifetime has expired. As a result, extension of service life is a serious option for the purpose of reducing investment costs.

On the other hand, lifetime extension may increase the probability of failure, depending on the operation and maintenance practice. Proper condition and remaining lifetime assessment enables you to determine effective strategies and procedures for operation, maintenance and replacement, while controlling the potential risks.

Result:
> understanding of component degradation and failure
> knowledge of the methods for assessing condition and
   remaining life
> insight in how to develop your own set of methods
   and techniques
