Training course Carbon and Electricity markets

This two-day training course is designed to introduce participants into the world of energy policies, regulations, carbon management and CO2 reduction

Description:
Climate change and atmospheric emissions is considered to be the most serious global environmental issue we face today. In this context the EU Emissions Trading Scheme represents one corner stone of Europe’s strategy to mitigate emissions of greenhouse gases which is a key contributor to climate change. As a substantial producer of greenhouse gases, electricity generation plays a major role in the emission market and possible emission reduction.

The course "Carbon and Electricity markets" is designed to introduce participants into the world of energy policies, regulations, carbon management, and CO2 reduction. The key focus of the KEMA course is to fully understand the carbon market, the electricity market and their interaction. The increasing interaction of the traditional energy market with the still young and steadily growing carbon market represents a challenge for market players and constantly raises new questions and concerns.

Upon request, KEMA can also provide an in-house training course in the English language (content, location and duration of the course can be adapted to the client's wishes). Please contact us for more information.
