Smart Grid Interop Lab
Integration and compliance testing to manage grid technology risks
New smart grid products and services are emerging from an increasing number of suppliers. Smart grid program success relies on the end-to-end integration and compatibility of these deployed technologies, and their compliance with standards.
KEMA’s Smart Grid Interop Lab (SGIL) enables energy and utility industry participants and key suppliers to manage risk exposure, verify business case projections, and secure a more effective and efficient smart grid deployment.
The SGIL is an advanced testing facility that features a controlled, live, working smart grid environment. We offer a full range of independent testing and evaluation services:
- Test compliance and interoperability of new products and services, individually or in combination, with supplemental products and services
- Test compliance of products and services with existing standards and new Smart Grid Interoperability Standards as they evolve
- Perform proof-of concept and experimental testing of product and service prototypes during early development stages
- Provide training for smart grid system installations, operations, and diagnostics
