Green buildings and cities

Buildings and cities currently account for a substantial percentage of national CO2 emissions

Green buildings and cities, whether new or existing, are a major force in achieving sustainability and tackling climate change. We try to achieve energy efficient and environmentally friendly communities on the demand side as well as the supply side. We work with building owners, developers, design and construction teams, the public sector, and utilities to provide innovative solutions that deliver a high environmental and economic return on investment.

LEED
LEED – the ‘de facto’ international standard for buildings – addresses green issues from construction to energy savings & efficiency to water conservation and stormwater systems to indoor environmental quality to materials and resources. It has become the most credible system for making buildings more environmentally friendly worldwide.

Introduced in 2000, this green building rating system helped spark a revolution in environmentally friendly buildings, changing the way industry approaches the design, construction and operation of offices, schools, hospitals, homes and virtually all building types. KEMA Sustainable Buildings and Operations provides a wide array of consulting services related to green building and LEED certification, including strategic planning, implementation of a corporate green building program, and comprehensive services in support of building certifications.
