Dutch Ambassador visits KEMA in Dresden

“KEMA's Dresden offices at the forefront of cutting-edge energy concepts and technologies”

Marnix Krop, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, visited KEMA's Dresden office on January 12, 2012 as part of a visit to several Dutch-based companies located in the Free State of Saxony. Dutch Ambassador

"KEMA's Dresden offices truly sit at the forefront of cutting-edge concepts and technologies."

Since innovative energy concepts is an important topic for the Dutch government, the presentation about KEMA's Smart Meter Testing Lab as well as the presentation about KEMA's participation in the SaxMobility project, which involves developing an e-mobility infrastructure in Saxony, were particularly of interest to the Officer for Science and Technology, Dr. Joop Gilijamse, who was part of the Ambassador's delegation.

The meeting agenda also included an introduction to KEMA's important business role in Germany, which was presented by Dirk Fenske, and introductions to the activities of KEMA’s Global Business Lines, Electricity Transmission & Distribution (ETD) and Transportation Systems (TNS) , which were presented by Global Director ETD Gunnar Heymann Dutch Ambassador 2and Regional Director TNS, Steffen Röhlig, respectively.

The visit was supported and accompanied by Dr. Georg Prinz zur Lippe, the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Dresden, and Erwin van Donk, Chief Representative of the Netherlands Business Support Office, Leipzig.
