The Road to Copenhagen (R2C) visits KEMA in Arnhem

December 1, 2009 - This December, Copenhagen will host the 15th United Nations Climate Change Convention ( COP15).The Dutch utility company Essent had organized an event around the conference called ‘The Road to Copenhagen’.
Hundreds of young adults, ages 18-25 years, will drive on electric scooters from Den Bosch to Copenhagen in two weeks time with a group manifesto. This manifesto will be a statement from the participants regarding sustainability and the role that electric mobility can play in making the world a cooler place to live in.KEMA, as a sponsor of this project, will welcome the electric scooters and their retinue form on the 3rd of December on Business park ‘Arnhems Buiten’.
In Arnhem the group will take a short tour around the park before arriving at Conference Center ‘the Elektrum’.At the Elektrum all participants to the R2C event are being welcomed by KEMA and will be informed about the electricity market. Thijs Aarten, Member of the Board, will speak to all participants in the presence of various media. Mayor of Arnhem, Mrs. Pauline Krikke, is asked to give a speech at the closing of the event.
