Savings on printed cards to UNICEF.

December 19, 2008.

For the 2008 holiday season, KEMA has once again chosen not to send out printed holiday cards, but to make a donation to UNICEF with the savings instead. Thanks to your support for this initiative, KEMA is giving 20,000 euros to support a project in Burkina Faso, which seeks to cut child mortality by providing clean water and sanitation. In that country, 20 percent of children die before the age of five, because they do not have access to safe drinking water or proper sanitation facilities. The donation that KEMA is making is sufficient to pay for the creation of a well for one village, the purchase of logistic resources and the provision of UNICEF hygiene information to women and children. KEMA is very happy to help UNICEF in this way.
